Now Available – The Tipping Point. The New Movie By Clay Porter
Following on from a successful double World Premiere last month in Monterey, California, and in Pietermaritzburg South Africa, Clay Porter's latest movie, The Tipping Point, is now commercially available to the public exclusively through VAS Entertainment. On line orders are now available through Kicker Films: www.kickerfilms.com All US enquiries need to go to: [email protected] All other international enquiries, please contact: [email protected] The Tipping Point primarily covers the 2008 international race season following the stars of the sport such as Greg Minnaar, Sam Hill, Steve Peat, the Athertons, Matti Lehikoinen, Sam Blenkinsop, Justin Leov and a host of others. The film's creator and director, Clay Porter, is already on the road for the next movie project but had this to say: "I've always been fascinated by the art of storytelling. A documentary on a sport like downhill racing, where there are so many protagonists, storylines and conflicts that can all be tied together with one powerful theme.....the clear passion for the sport, well it makes for an exciting and challenging project. The Tipping Point is different for me in that I opted not to have narration, but let the main players of the sport carry the story, and I'm super happy with the response since the World Premiere. This is by far my best work to date". The DVD packaging includes a glossy 40 page booklet with exceptional photography from the sports best photographers and additional information. Producer Martin Whiteley says: "The reason that Clay's movies continue to set new standards in our sport is that no-one gets under the helmet of the riders quite like Clay. He is personally connected to all the riders and it shows. The raw emotion expressed by Sam Hill on his world championship disappointment, or the unfiltered jubilation of the Atherton family as they realise the profound history they've created at round 2, or the power of overcoming adversity as shown in Matti Lehikoinen's section of the movie, are all only made possible because the athletes open up to Clay in ways that no other filmmaker has yet to accomplish." The Tipping Point was made with the financial support from the following companies who believe in the vision of the film's creator: Fox Racing Shox, adidas eyewear, Santa Cruz Bicycles, Intense Cycles, decline Magazine, Troy Lee Designs, and e.thirteen components.
